How to migrate one account without access to the old server

How-to Migration ferozosingle accountimapftpmigration

Bring a single customer from Ferozo or any closed hosting using only their FTP/SFTP, IMAP and a database export.

Migration, Account brings one customer in using only what the customer can give you. It is the route for Ferozo and any hosting you cannot log in to as an administrator.

Steps

  1. Get the customer's FTP or SFTP credentials, an IMAP login for each mailbox and an .sql export of each database.
  2. In the admin interface open Migration, Account and enter them.
  3. The site files are copied over FTP/SFTP, mail is copied over IMAP, and DNS is read from the real DNS.
  4. Load the database exports.
  5. Read the report. It states that there is no plan, reseller or quota information, because there is no server to read it from.
  6. Verify and cut over.

Notes

  • Mailbox import needs the destination mailbox to be new and empty. A second IMAP pass just before cutting over only fetches what arrived since the first.
  • Everything read from the old side is treated as untrusted input.
