What it is
A storage your provider connected is mounted in the client's home, so large cold files such as virtual machine backups live on cheap remote space while websites stay on local disk.
What it is for
Offering customers large archive space priced separately from web hosting.
Limits
It is not included in home backups or malware scans, and the quota is the remote provider's, not the node's. SFTP storage must have its server fingerprint confirmed before it mounts. If the remote is unreachable the mount is simply absent. Serving the storage back as an S3 endpoint with sub-users is not built yet.
