What it is
FTP accounts are virtual (not UNIX users), named <client>_<name>, each rooted in a subdirectory of the home. Files they upload belong to the client and are readable by the web server. SFTP with the account's UNIX user works for every active account.
What it is for
Uploading a site with a desktop client, or giving a contractor access to one folder.
Limits
FTP requires explicit TLS; plain FTP is off. The passive range 30000-30100 must be open and reachable or listings hang. Capped by the plan.
