How to create hosting plans, a reseller plan and a reseller
Build hosting plans with limits, create a reseller with a pool, assign plans to clients and choose the transfer overage policy.
Hosting plans
- Open Accounts, Plans and create a plan. Zero means unlimited. You can cap disk, transfer, sites, subdomains, parked domains, mail domains, mailboxes, databases, FTP accounts, zones, containers, cron jobs, emails per hour, and CPU, RAM, IO and processes (the last four need a License).
- Choose the overage policy: suspend, warn and keep serving, or not defined; and the percentage at which to warn.
- Assign it to a client:
panel plan-guardar basic disco_mb=5000 sitios=3 bases=5 transfer_mb=50000 tipo=hosting panel plan-asignar acme basic panel uso acme
A reseller
- Create the user under Accounts, Users with the role
reseller; resellers need the second factor. - Assign a reseller plan (admin only) under Accounts, Resellers. It is measured against the total of the reseller's whole portfolio.
- Optionally set overselling per reseller (off by default) and whether they may set their own overage policy:
panel pool <reseller> sobreventa=120 permite_politica_propia=on - The reseller builds hosting plans inside the pool and creates clients with them.
Rules that matter
- A client's cap is hard and is enforced when the resource is created.
- Editing a plan in the interface loads the current values first; on the command line
plan-guardaronly changes the keys you pass. - Accounts the panel suspended for transfer are reactivated automatically when the month changes; accounts a person suspended are not.
